Aside from the Alamo, San Antonio has other four historic missions which have been regarded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of which is the San Antonio Missions that’s also a National Historic Park. Best thing is that all are free to visit!

San Antonio has 14 museums all in all and most are free to visit including the new and world-class children’s museum, The DoSeum, which waives admission fees on particular days all throughout the summer and beyond.

Gather around the Tower of the Americas Plaza in downtown San Antonio on Friday nights this summer, concerts start from 7:00pm until 11:00pm. No admission fees!

4. Watch San Antonio | The Saga
Catch the free showings of San Antonio | The Saga every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9:00pm, 9:30pm and 10:00pm on the facade of a historic cathedral in the Main Plaza. This one-of-a-kind multimedia work/art installation/history lesson was created by Xavier De Richemont and is free to all!
5. Listen to the best story time event for the kids
Every kid loves Miss Anastasi’as Wild and Wacky Pre-weekend Twiglet Storytime at the Twig Book Shop in the historic Pearl Brewery, 306 Pearl Parkway, Suite 106, 7825. The event occurs every Friday at 10:30am with free craft and snacks, and there are no admission fees!
