Just like the guards in London’s Buckingham Palace, Palacio Real de Madrid’s fancy royal guards’ parade is definitely worth seeing! On Wednesdays, the changing of the guards happens from 11:00am to 2:00pm, at Peurta Prinicpe.
Chill at the Retiro Park
Grab some churros and relax at Madrid’s biggest and most beautiful park, El Retiro (The Retreat). The unique park has a big lake with towering trees and majestic sculptures. El Retiro is open from 6:00 to 22:00 so grab your mats and enjoy a picnic there.
Explore the Prado/Reina Sofia Museums
Prado is open to the public on Monday through Saturday from 18:00 to 20:00, and on Sundays from 17:00 to 20:00 for free. Reina Sofia Museum is also free from 19:00 to 21:00.
