Do you live in San Francisco? Get ready for an amazing trip to the museum! California Academy of Sciences will open its doors to each San Francisco neighborhood for over a three-day weekend in the spring and fall of each year.
Each will be defined by a zip code, and you have to present a proof of residency or a driver’s license to enter for free. Or you can bring and combine acceptable items such as state ID card; photo ID plus postmarked envelope, postcard, or magazine label with name and date; photo ID plus utility bill (gas/electric/cable), bank statement; Letter from a government agency with name and home address (not a P.O. box).
Take note that only residents from the neighbrhood invited on the designated dates are allowed to enter for free. Each visiting adult must present a valid photo ID with proof of residency and are limited to six children only. Each guest from out of town is required to pay the regular rate of the museum which is around $34.95.
