Pleasant Hill invites you to a full day of Fourth of July fun with events ranging from a traditional patriotic parade through the downtown Crescent Drive area.
Fun and games for family will be held in Pleasant Hill Park, and live music and fireworks in the evening will be at College Park High School on July 4, 2016. No admission free required!
Here’s 2016 activities include:
8 am: Firecracker Fun Run
Start the day off with the early morning ‘Firecracker 5K Fun Run’. There’s a place for everyone in the family in the lineup with a 100 yard dash for the little ones, plus a 5K run for the bigger folk. Commemorative T-shirts, prizes, bragging rights, local school support, it’s all right here for you. Check out the 5K menu item for all the details.
9:30 am: Parade
The parade travels right through the downtown area with floats, bands, and marching units, with plenty of noise, music and excitement. The parade takes place in the downtown Crescent Drive area, starting at Woodsworth and Contra Costa Blvd. and then heads down Crescent Drive.
10:30 am: Fun & Games in Pleasant Hill Park
Family entertainment includes games, food, live musical entertainment, races, contests, educational displays, and many events to keep kids and grown-ups entertained for hours. Food and beverages may be purchased. Best of all, all activities, games, rides & attractions are free.

9 pm: Fireworks
View fireworks starting at College Park High School (Viking Dr & Contra Costa Blvd) around 9:10 pm. Prior to the fireworks display, you’ll be treated to music performed live by Public Eye. The music and the fireworks together make for a double treat. The music will begin at approximately 7:15 – 7:30 pm and will continue until the fireworks display begins.
