Last year I attended the legendary character fun-filled Comic-Con in San Diego and little did I know that I was going to have so much fun! And not just the visual entertainment and the love for comics and all things geeky, but what could possibly be better than getting exclusive stuff at Comic Con? Well Getting FREE Exclusive stuff at Comic Con! We braved the floor and sidewalks to bring you the ultimate guide to filling your swag bag for absolutely nothing.
On Preview Night, most the best swag came from the larger, more mainstream booths, such as CBS or Cartoon Network. The top prizes of the night seemed to be T-shirts that were printed on the spot at the Lionsgate’s booth or like Adult Swim on the Green outside the convention Center or handed out after an interactive exhibit, like at ABC’ exhibit or at Nerdist Conival outside the Convention Center at Petco Park. Many other areas were giving out posters, buttons, magnets and stickers. Fox was giving out fedoras and thumb drives, and BBC was giving out hats and lanyards. Nerdist gave away a bunch of things but one cool one last year was the Google Cardboard 3D Virtual Reality Glasses.
Many freebies appears to be coming out of the middle of the main convention hall, at least that’s how it was before, so if you know that’s what you’re after, you can focus on that. Otherwise, stay away from this area until you’re ready to load up on some freebies otherwise you might be stuck in the middle of a wild and bizarre jungle of very enthusiastic fans.
FREE Exclusive Conan Pop! Vinyl Figures at Comic-Con 2016!
Conan as a huge fan of Comic-Con is joining forces this year to bring you the newest Comic-Con exclusive Conan Pop! Vinyl figures directly to some lucky Comic-Con badged members. So go to Manchester Grand Hyatt at Grand Hall C , just a few blocks away from the San Diego Convention Center and you’ll have the opportunity to win each day’s Conan Pop! Vinyl figure. This is a random drawing for the Conan Pop! Vinyl figures … it is not first-come, first served. Last year it wasfirst-come, first served and you didn’t even needed a badge back then and I scored a mummy Conan Pop! Vinyl figure, I still have it in it’s original box unopened.
The drawing will start at 9:00 AM on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and continue each day until supplies run out. There’s a different Conan figure each day and if you are like me, you’ll try to collect them all!
Adult Swim on the Green
Comic Con 2016 is bringing back Adult Swim to the green with all its glorious and ridiculously sarcastic personality, and it’s gonna be greener than ever. They’re giving away everything you’ve ever dreamed of at their Carnival Midway full of fancy games and prizes. All you have to do is stand in line (bring sunblock, umbrella, and lots of water), because of course, we know you guys love lines! These lines are worth it though, last year I got a bag bigger than myself (well I guess at 5’4″and not too big either) anyways, I got so many awesome toys, shirts, games, posters and even Mike Tyson socks. I also did get a black Jesus, my favorite Comic-Con freebies of all time!
Be ready to have your soul photo taken in the Mr. Pickles photo booth, then head over to The Meatwad Full Dome to check out some new shows – Six Minutes Of Your Life That You’ll Never Get Back. They’re all free, it’s fun and they’re on the green!

Nerdist
This year Nerdist along with Geek & Sundry, are hosting Camp Conival, that they have described as a four-day trip back in time to everything that you loved about summer camp, wowzers! If you were at Conival last year, which I was and it was AWE-MAZING, you know that the event is a mother-have-mercy full of fun activities completely FREE and open to the public (no badge required).
Thre will be the Geek & Sundry tabletop gaming, Nerdist laser tag, super-uber fun, and tons of giveaways and collectibles, and also interviews with our favorite stars, apparently all inspired by summer camp classics like Wet Hot American Summer, Salute Your Shorts, and Heavyweights.
