Watch your favorite flicks for free as Seattle hosts FREE outdoor movies at the Mural Amphitheater this summer. Grab your mats and have a picnic on the gently sloping lawn, in front of a state-of-the-art 40-foot screen, with the Space Needle looming above.
The series features popular movies, both classic and contemporary, appropriate for all-ages. Movies at the Mural is an outdoor cinema experience like no other!
PLUS! Each film preceded by a short film selected by the curators of the Seattle International Film Festival, in collaboration with sponsor Alaska Airlines.

The Princess Bride Quote-Along
This beloved 1980s classic blends comedy, adventure, romance and fantasy. Follow peasant farmhand Westley as he battles three bumbling outlaws and a nefarious prince to win the hand of his one true love, a young woman named Buttercup. This special Quote-Along edition is brought to you in partnership with SIFF.

The desert wastelands inhabited by the Road Warrior are still rife with motorized gangs in this fourth chapter of the Mad Max legend. Decades after the success of the sci-fi series “Galaxy Quest,” the show’s washed-up stars — Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen), Gwen DeMarco (Sigourney Weaver) and Alexander Dane (Alan Rickman) — are recruited by actual aliens to pull off an intergalactic rescue mission. At first, the actors assume the so-called Thermians are just another group of die-hard fans. But as the plot thickens, they realize they’re working with real-life extraterrestrials.

How do I get seats at the Mural?
Seating is first-come, first-served, limited to the capacity of the Mural Amphitheatre lawn.
What are the seating arrangements?
We recommend low back chairs, blankets or bean bags. Seating is first-come, first-served, and you may be directed toward the back of the Mural Amphitheatre lawn if you bring high backed chairs.
What if it rains?
For cancellation information/updates, call Seattle Center Customer Service at 684-7200 or go to seattlecenter.com after 2 PM on day of event.
When will the movies start?
Movies start at dusk (about 9 PM).
How can I request closed captioning?
As a policy, we always include captions at all of our screenings.
Can I bring my pet?
Due to the limited number of seats and the abundance of food in the seating area, we would prefer that movie-goers leave pets at home (except for legal guidance animals).
What is not allowed?
No giant coolers/ice chests, open flames/cooking, umbrellas, video or audio recorders. Like any theater, during the movie we ask people to TURN OFF their cellphones and pagers.
Will food & beverages be available?
Food and beverages are available in the Seattle Center Armory and at food carts on grounds prior to start of movie.
Is alcohol available?
Alcohol is not for sale at the Mural, but is available at select locations in the Armory. However, alcohol must be consumed at place of purchase.
