In celebration with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Caltrain will provide free service from San Jose to San Francisco with stops in Palo Alto and San Mateo for those who wish to attend the annual celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. King which will be on Monday, January 16th in San Francisco, California.
This train ride is free but registration is required. You must register in advance in order to receive a free commemorative ticket. The ticket will be valid for the Celebration Train and for one southbound Caltrain trip after 1:00 om on Monday, January 16th.
The train will depart from Diridon Station in San Jose at 9:45 am, and will be making stops at Palo Alto at 10:22 am before arriving at San Francisco.
Once in San Francisco, celebrants will be able to immediately take part in the MLK2017 March/Parade or head directly to Yerba Buena Gardens to take part in a full day of MLK Day festivities.
