I have always been a girly-girl with expensive taste. This was all well and good until I had to start paying my own way in life. MAC has a great incentive program that most of my friends were not aware of until I asked if they were taking advantage of it! MAC offers a recycling program that scores you free makeup with every six empty MAC product containers that you bring in!

How do you do it?

Hang on to those empty lip gloss, eyeshadow, blush, and foundation containers. Once you have six of them, you can take them to your MAC counter within your department store to redeem them for one free lipstick! This gets even better if you live near a larger city. MAC not only has the department store counters, they also have freestanding stores within malls, along city streets, and in open-air shopping centers. At these freestanding stores, you can redeem your six empty containers for a free lipstick, lip gloss or eyeshadow!

If you are a diehard fan of makeup, you can score some awesome freebies with the freestanding stores! If you only have the MAC counter within your department store, a free lipstick is not half bad. I even saved a bunch of empties last year and went in around Christmastime and redeemed 24 empty containers for two eye shadows and two lip glosses! That was $59 worth of free makeup that made perfect Christmas gifts. At my local store, you can redeem up to 24 empties at a time. Be sure to check with your store for more information on their limits.
