Come hang at Lake Merritt Boating Center in Oakland, California and Splash Into Summer with free boat rentals on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 1:00 pm.
In celebration of National Safe Boating Week, Lake Merritt is offering free boat rentals and an open house. If past years are any indication, you can get a half hour of free time floating around the picturesque lake.
Please note that rentals on free boat days are for a ½ hour. The things you can rent that day includes paddle boats, canoes, single and double kayaks, rowboats, and sailboats. For sailboats, an experience is necessary though, to bring certification or you can pass a short test.
